We are currently living in an RV with 235 sq ft of space. With a family of soon to be ten that doesn't leave any office space. So when we offered a FREE camper, we jumped at the opportunity! When we saw the photo below, I got the retro vibe and thought it had a lot of potential. So, we said yes and picked it up that same evening.

When we brought it home, it was in need of a good cleaning. After we cleaned it out, we were impressed with the condition of most of the wood. However, it was on the dark side for my taste, so we decided to paint some of it white.

We painted the lower half white, and my husband took up the flooring and replaced it quickly and inexpensively. Our goal was to renovate it asap and keep within on a low budget. I think we put about less than $500 into the remodel which included: flooring, lighting, window hangings, and paint. I was able to get affordable drapes at Ross Store, and I ordered my lighting online.

New grey flooring. We didn't go too heavy duty since this is just a temporary office space until we get our house built. While putting it together, it was essential for me to keep a minimal approach to the design and aesthetics. I had a plastic fold-up table for almost six months as my desk. Boy, was I pleased when a used table come up on social media for sale for only $50! For the drawers, I went to my local dollar store to pick up a stacked system. It has weave look that makes it nicer than a typical plastic drawer system. I picked a seat that had no back purposely so it would not take up any extra visual space in the office. I think it looks fabulous. What you do you think?

The camper just needs a fresh paint job on the exterior and this is close to being a complete project. We feel so blessed that it was offered to us for FREE! #Thankful
